The movie follows troubled youth Mike Tyson's journey from delinquency to professional boxing. After a series of incidents, including being recognized for his boxing talent in juvenile detention, he is mentored by trainer Cus D'Amato. Despite personal tragedy, Mike remains determined to succeed, building a pigeon coop in honor of his late mother. With motivation from D'Amato and a gold pin from Muhammad Ali, Mike triumphs in his amateur boxing debut at the Junior Olympics in 1982, winning with a TKO in just eight seconds.
