The movie starts with introducing Indian scientist Dr. Sanjay Mehta, who lives in Canada with his wife Sonia. Dr. Mehta communicates with aliens using gadgets he created, sending om syllables to galaxies. After receiving a reply, he shares the news, only to be laughed at by colleagues. On the way home, they encounter a spacecraft, leading to a fatal accident that kills Dr. Mehta. Sonia returns to India and gives birth to Rohit, who grows up with a developmental disability. Rohit, despite limited intellect, has loyal friends. Conflict arises with Raj, the collector's son, and Rohit is falsely accused of harassment by Nisha.
