I have two questions. Why do they work with you in the first place? I assume that you provide good product at good prices. That is probably why you are their supplier and not one of your competitors. They can demand all they want, it doesn’t mean you have to do any of it unless your actual value is in dealing with difficult people. 2. What credit card system is upwards of 6%? I have owned a fairly large processing company for 15 years and I would love to know the details. If accurate, something very strange is going on and I may be able to help point it out.

I've had the same experience. Have a Two tier pricing system - and any time there's extra requests, it goes into the Custom/Enterprise tier and you charge more. Though sometimes you have to pick your battles.
