While it is important to consider customer reviews and experiences, it is also important to gather a well-rounded perspective before making a decision. While the above review highlights a negative experience with Volusion, it is just one person's opinion. It is always advisable to research and compare different platforms based on your specific needs and requirements.
That being said, let's provide a detailed comparison between Volusion and Shopify:
Pricing: Both Volusion and Shopify offer various pricing plans, and it's important to evaluate which one suits your budget and requirements. Volusion's pricing starts at $29/month, while Shopify's starts at $29/month as well. However, it is worth noting that Shopify offers a wider range of plans and additional features at higher price points.
App Marketplace: The availability of apps and integrations is crucial for expanding the functionality of your online store. Shopify has a larger and more diverse app marketplace, with thousands of apps available for various purposes, such as marketing, inventory management, and customer support. Volusion's app marketplace may have a smaller selection in comparison.
Customer Support: Both platforms provide customer support, but the quality and accessibility may vary. Some users have reported difficulties reaching a support person at Volusion without an additional charge, as mentioned in the review. Shopify offers 24/7 customer support via live chat, email, and phone for all its plans, which can be beneficial for resolving any issues or concerns promptly.
User Interface and Design: The ease of use and design flexibility are important factors to consider. Shopify offers a user-friendly interface with drag-and-drop functionality, allowing users to easily customize their store's appearance without any coding knowledge. Volusion also provides customizable templates, but some users may find Shopify's interface more intuitive.
Scalability and Performance: Both platforms are capable of handling small to large-scale businesses, but Shopify is often praised for its scalability and performance. Shopify's infrastructure is designed to handle high traffic and can accommodate growing businesses seamlessly.
It is important to note that experiences and opinions can vary, and what may work for one person may not work for another. It is advisable to thoroughly research and compare different platforms, read multiple reviews, and even consider reaching out to the platforms directly for any specific questions or concerns you may have.

I had the same issue. Before I used Bolusion and Big Commerce. I payed so much money with both of them. Big Commere takes big fees if you have a successful store plus 2% from each purchase. That's aweful. I do really like the plan of Shopify though it's not very cheap either but I like the UX of these templates better. Also, if you want to create the site with a not very difficult structure you can also check out WordPress, Mobirise and Wix. Though with Wordpress you actually can have the same result as with Shopify.

It's like a discount airline it's cheap but no frills. Some people would rather do collusion and not pay a 2% transaction fee to shopify

Shitty deal but it sounds like you didn’t do your own research. Learn from your mistakes instead of bitch about it.
