The Revelation: A Moment of Betrayal The turning point in Valdehueza's life came when Quiboloy claimed to have received a "divine revelation" that summoned her to him. This led to a fateful trip to Cebu, where she was instructed to stay in his hotel room. What she believed to be a privilege quickly turned sinister. Valdehueza recounted, "Sleeping beside a man I believed to be chosen by God was for me then a great privilege... But what followed shattered my sense of faith and trust." Quiboloy violated her trust in the most horrific way, leaving her confused and betrayed. Isolation and Manipulation: The Struggle to Escape After the initial abuse, Valdehueza found herself trapped in a web of isolation. With her family cut off and no means of support, she grappled with the haunting question of whether the abuse was part of God's will. "Confusion consumed me. I felt betrayed—by my faith, by him, and even perhaps by myself," she expressed, illustrating the psychological turmoil she endured. The emotional scars of her experience prevented her from leaving, as she wrestled with the belief that she had irrevocably surrendered her life to the church. A Cycle of Abuse: The Ongoing Trauma The abuse did not end with that first encounter. Valdehueza recounted another instance in 1998, where she again fell victim to Quiboloy's manipulation. After collapsing from emotional distress while preparing for church activities, she was further victimized by the pastor's actions. "I learned he told others that it was just a way for me to seduce him, labeling me as Jezebel, the temptress," she revealed, showcasing the cruel narrative Quiboloy constructed to deflect blame and maintain control.
