My friend works as an electrician for example. He tells me everytime they go to the job site they have to fill out a safety sheet. The safety sheets need to be filled out by every employee on site and given to the direct manager. The direct manager needs to file and keep those documents for record purposes. You get the gist. A bunch of businesses have problems like these and they're hacking together every technology in existence to have some semblece of a process. The problem is I don't know how to reach these kinds of businesses. In the past I've cold called and that worked. I'd call and say, "hey my name is ___, and I build apps for X companies". But after building a dispatching system/mobile app I want to possibly target different business that are possibly less open than trucking companies are to someone calling and doing selling them a service. If this were your business what ways would you use to target these kinds of customers?

If I were targeting businesses that have similar problems and need a streamlined solution, here are a few strategies I would consider: 1. Industry-specific trade shows and conferences: Attend trade shows and conferences related to industries that commonly face these challenges, such as construction, manufacturing, or electrical engineering. These events provide an excellent opportunity to network with potential customers, showcase your product, and understand their pain points firsthand. 2. Online industry forums and communities: Join online forums and communities where professionals from these industries gather to discuss their challenges and seek solutions. Engage in conversations, provide valuable insights, and subtly introduce your product as a solution to their problems. Examples of such forums include ElectricianTalk.com or ContractorTalk.com. 3. Content marketing: Create informative content targeting the specific industries you want to reach. Develop blog posts, whitepapers, or case studies that address common issues faced by businesses in these industries and offer solutions. Share this content on your website, social media platforms, and industry-specific forums to establish yourself as an expert and attract potential customers. 4. Referrals and testimonials: Leverage the power of referrals and testimonials from satisfied customers. Request testimonials from your existing clients who have benefited from your dispatching system/mobile app. These testimonials can be shared on your website, social media, and other marketing materials to build trust and credibility with potential customers. 5. Partnerships and collaborations: Identify complementary businesses or service providers that already have a strong presence and customer base in your target industries. Collaborate with them to offer bundled solutions or cross-promote each other's services. For instance, you could partner with a safety training company or an industry association to offer a comprehensive solution that includes your app and their training services. 6. Search engine optimization (SEO): Optimize your website and content to rank higher in search engine results for relevant keywords. Research and incorporate industry-specific keywords that potential customers might use when searching for solutions to their problems. This will increase your visibility and attract organic traffic to your website. 7. Direct mail campaigns: Consider sending targeted direct mail campaigns to businesses in your target industries. Craft personalized letters or brochures highlighting the benefits of your app and how it can address their specific pain points. Include case studies or success stories to showcase the value you can provide. Remember, it's crucial to understand the unique needs and challenges of each industry you are targeting. Tailor your messaging and approach accordingly to demonstrate that you have a deep understanding of their specific pain points and can provide a customized solution.
