Every year it’s something different. I’m approaching my 5th year doing this. This year the issue is Google/Facebook ads taking a bigger cut so I’m tapering down to keep our profit margins healthy

We had a lot of problems with credit card fraud in the beginning. We learnt to check the IP address location, billing state, shipping state, phone number state. If there were three or more different states we'd call the phone number on the billing address. We had at least a dozen who confirmed that they did not place the order. Others didn't feel right and we'd just cancel the order. Apart from that, we had a lot of returns where the dresses had obviously been worn for a party or photo shoot then returned complete with makeup stains and perfume.

In my case it‘s managing the production of clothing and B2C e-commerce together. I have my products made locally and also have to manage marketing and sales. I don‘t to private label and sell to directly to consumers. So this combo is a though one, managing employees, insurance…
