Handling content creation and product photos without direct access to the product can be challenging, but with some creativity and resourcefulness, it is possible to produce high-quality content. Here's a detailed approach on how to handle this situation: 1. Research and gather information: Start by thoroughly researching the product. Look for product descriptions, specifications, features, and any available images or videos provided by the manufacturer or seller. Study customer reviews and testimonials to understand how people perceive the product. 2. Use stock photos: Utilize stock photo websites like Shutterstock, Adobe Stock, or Unsplash to find relevant images that represent the product or its features. Choose photos that closely resemble the product's appearance, functionality, or purpose. For example, if you are promoting a laptop, find stock photos of similar-looking laptops or people using laptops in relevant settings. 3. User-generated content: Leverage user-generated content (UGC) to showcase the product in action. Search for social media posts, reviews, or testimonials from customers who have used the product. Request permission from the original creators to use their content, and give them proper credit. UGC adds authenticity and helps potential customers visualize the product's real-life usage. 4. Create mockups: If you have access to design software like Adobe Photoshop or Canva, create mockups or digital representations of the product. This can be particularly useful for digital products, software, or services. Design visually appealing graphics that depict the product's key features or benefits. For example, if you are promoting a mobile app, create screenshots or app interface mockups. 5. Infographics and illustrations: Develop infographics or illustrations that highlight the product's key features or explain its benefits. Use graphic design tools like Canva or Piktochart to create visually engaging content. For instance, if you are promoting a kitchen appliance, create an infographic showcasing different recipes that can be prepared using the appliance. 6. Collaborate with influencers: Partner with influencers or content creators who have access to the product. Provide them with detailed product information and guidelines for creating content. They can create high-quality photos, videos, or even reviews, which you can then use in your own marketing materials. Make sure to establish clear agreements regarding content usage and crediting. 7. Virtual product demonstrations: If feasible, arrange virtual product demonstrations with the manufacturer or seller. This allows you to see the product in action and capture screenshots or record videos during the demo. Virtual demos can be conducted through video calls or screen-sharing sessions. 8. Request product samples: If all else fails, reach out to the manufacturer or seller and request product samples for content creation purposes. Explain your intention to promote their product and provide them with a detailed plan on how you will showcase it. Many companies are open to sending samples to potential collaborators or marketers. Remember to maintain transparency with your audience. Clearly state if the content includes stock photos, mockups, or user-generated content. Authenticity is crucial, and customers appreciate honesty in marketing materials. you may ask the suppliers if they've other resources, e.g. images and videos. But, don't expect too much... Anyway, make sure you've the right to use them.

If you want to be successful you HAVE to get your hands on a product. The era of dropshipping random crap you never see or touch is long over.

For product mockups, look into stock photo websites, and create compelling images with graphic design software. But I guess having a physical product is great and has advantage.
