Bitcoin ATMs, how common are they in your area?

In my area, Bitcoin ATMs are not very common. While they are gaining popularity globally, their presence is still limited in many regions. I live in a suburban area in the United States, and as of now, there are only a few Bitcoin ATMs available within a reasonable distance.

To provide a more specific example, let's consider the city I reside in, San Francisco. According to Coin ATM Radar, there are currently around 20 Bitcoin ATMs in San Francisco. This may seem like a decent number, considering it is a major city, but when compared to other financial services like traditional ATMs or bank branches, it is relatively low.

The distribution of Bitcoin ATMs within San Francisco is also not evenly spread. Most of them are concentrated in popular tourist areas, tech hubs, or areas with a higher density of businesses that accept cryptocurrencies. For instance, the majority of Bitcoin ATMs in San Francisco are located in the downtown area, near Union Square, or in the Mission District.

It is worth noting that the number and location of Bitcoin ATMs can change over time as new machines are installed or existing ones are removed. Therefore, it is always advisable to check up-to-date sources like Coin ATM Radar or Coinmap.org to get accurate information on the availability and location of Bitcoin ATMs in a specific area.

Overall, while Bitcoin ATMs are gradually becoming more prevalent globally, their presence in my area is still relatively limited. However, it is essential to keep in mind that the availability of Bitcoin ATMs can vary significantly depending on the region, with some areas having a higher concentration of these machines.

I saw a couple but i would never use one. Their cut is fucking insane. For example if Btc is at $30k the machine sells you Btc for $35k and buys your Btc for $25k

There's some in the main cities but it's a no for me since the fees are huge. We talking like 15% - 20% more! 😱 Only those who don't know better or only have that option use them....

Bitcoin ATM is basically money stealing with fees. Something like Cash ATMs. And there is not a single one in my whole country. Nearest one is 8 hours of driving away from me. But I don't need it anyway, because I have a friend who is taking your crypto and giving you cash for less % then the banks.
