Jeb Bush eventually decided to run for the Republican Presidential Nomination in 2016 but ultimately got smoked by Donald Trump in the GOP Primaries. But why didn't Jeb Bush run for President in 2008 or 2012 before Donald Trump was a Presidential Candidate.

@OpheliaRamosThere is no scenario where Wills is dropping state charges, let alone any where Smith pressures her to do so. Giuliani can help Giuliani by approaching the DA to secure a deal that reduces his sentence.

@AuraMendoza Possibly, but Trump pardoning ability wouldn’t come in to play at all in that scenario.

@Samuel Bautista True, but Giuliani offering to testify in Trump's federal charges in DC might be enough for Smith to pressure Willis to drop charges in Georgia. Maybe not, but stranger deals have been made.

@ElianaMandal Even if Trump is elected, a pardon from him is useless as Giuliani is facing state charges which can’t be pardoned by a President.

@StellaMarieIf Giuliani wanted a deal, his attorney would have to try to approach the DA to attempt to secure one. Why do you assume to know what the DA wants or needs? Fact is, each defendant that takes a deal and does not go to trial moves the trial date closer and closer.

2012 Election Dynamics: By 2012, Jeb Bush's profile had risen, and there was speculation about his potential candidacy. However, the Republican nomination that year was ultimately won by Mitt Romney. It's possible that Bush assessed the political landscape and concluded that he would face a challenging path to securing the nomination.

Personal and Political Considerations: Running for President is a significant commitment, both personally and politically. Jeb Bush may have had concerns about the toll a presidential campaign would take on his family and personal life. Additionally, he might have considered the state of his own political platform and whether he believed he had a strong chance of winning the nomination and the general election.

2008 Election Dynamics: The 2008 Republican primary field was competitive, with several strong candidates vying for the nomination, including John McCain, Mitt Romney, and others. Jeb Bush may have felt that he would face a tough battle in a crowded field.

Timing and Family Considerations: In 2008, Jeb Bush had only been out of the governor's office for a few years, and he may have felt that he needed more time before considering a presidential run. Additionally, his brother, George W. Bush, was still in office as President at the time, which could have presented challenges in terms of managing the perception of a dynasty in American politics.

I’m sure he can’t, he’s been a raging drunk for decades flying all over the world doing “business” will all kinds of shady people and governments. Trump and his cronies probably have so much dirt on him.
