Bill Paxton was widely regarded as a talented and versatile actor throughout his career. He showcased his abilities across multiple genres, including drama, action, and science fiction, leaving a lasting impact on the industry. Here are some reasons why Paxton was considered a good actor:

1. Range and versatility: Paxton had the ability to portray a wide range of characters, from charming and charismatic to intense and menacing. He could effortlessly switch between comedic roles like Private Hudson in "Aliens" (1986) and dramatic performances like his critically acclaimed turn as Hank in "A Simple Plan" (1998). This versatility allowed him to take on diverse roles and create memorable characters.

2. Commitment to his craft: Paxton was known for his dedication and commitment to his roles. He often immersed himself in his characters, going to great lengths to prepare and understand them. For instance, in "Frailty" (2001), he not only acted but also directed the film, showcasing his passion and commitment to storytelling.

3. Collaborations with esteemed directors: Paxton had the opportunity to work with renowned directors such as James Cameron, Ron Howard, and Kathryn Bigelow. These collaborations are a testament to his talent and the trust these directors had in his abilities. Paxton's performances in films like "Titanic" (1997) and "Apollo 13" (1995) were praised by both critics and audiences alike.

4. Memorable supporting roles: While Paxton had leading roles in some films, he also excelled in supporting roles, often stealing scenes with his performances. His portrayal of Chet in "Weird Science" (1985) and the treasure hunter Brock Lovett in "Titanic" are examples of his ability to make an impact even in limited screen time.

5. Critical acclaim and awards: Paxton received recognition for his talent throughout his career. He was nominated for several awards, including a Primetime Emmy for his performance in the TV miniseries "Hatfields & McCoys" (2012). He also won a Screen Actors Guild Award as part of the ensemble cast of "Apollo 13."

In conclusion, Bill Paxton was considered a good actor due to his range, commitment to his craft, collaborations with esteemed directors, memorable supporting roles, and critical acclaim. His body of work and the respect he garnered from his peers and audiences are evidence of his talent and impact on the industry.

The end of Season 6 Ep 6 "Inescapable" when Mack was explaining to Daisy that the Chronicom world was attacked and the scene got really intense with ominous music and then Daisy cuts him off and "steps on his moment".

Fun Fact: His character was in the service because he was given the choice of that or prison. It was cut from the dialogue, but Bill is still playing the character that way. Explains his intense feelings of being screwed over.
