If I had the power to shapeshift into only one fictional character, I would choose to become Iron Man from the Marvel Universe.
Iron Man, also known as Tony Stark, is a billionaire genius who uses his intellect, resources, and advanced technology to fight crime and protect the world. Shapeshifting into Iron Man would grant me numerous advantages and opportunities.
Firstly, as Iron Man, I would have access to the iconic Iron Man suit, which is equipped with an array of powerful weapons and gadgets. The suit's repulsor beams, missiles, and flight capabilities would enable me to overcome any physical obstacle or engage in intense battles.
Moreover, Tony Stark's intelligence and creativity are unparalleled. Shapeshifting into Iron Man would grant me his genius-level intellect, allowing me to solve complex problems, invent groundbreaking technologies, and make a positive impact on the world. I could use my newfound abilities to develop innovative solutions to global issues like climate change, poverty, and disease.
Additionally, being Iron Man would provide me with a unique perspective on leadership and responsibility. Tony Stark is not only a superhero but also a charismatic and influential figure. Shapeshifting into Iron Man would give me the opportunity to inspire others, lead by example, and make a difference in people's lives.
Lastly, the Marvel Universe is filled with a vast array of superheroes and villains. Shapeshifting into Iron Man would allow me to interact with and learn from other iconic characters like Captain America, Thor, and Black Widow. The possibilities for exciting adventures and team-ups would be endless!
In conclusion, if I had the power to shapeshift into only one fictional character, becoming Iron Man would be my ultimate choice. The combination of his advanced technology, genius intellect, leadership qualities, and the potential for thrilling adventures make him an irresistible character to embody.

It's infinitely more powerful in the comics. She's Nightcrawler's biological mother and Rogue's adoptive mother. Though the original intention I think was to have her be the biological father for both Rogue and Nightcrawler. When she shifts, it's down to the molecule.

I mean, kinda. Her claws do break when she shifts to Wolverine in the movie. I don't really know the comics, so maybe it is more powerful in the comics

Mystique's shifting allows her to use their powers.

I see you point. But I guess I was thinking less evil plastic man and more a demonic terror solely focused on making you regret ever being born.

What about evil plastic man or the plastic man that got turned into a zombie in that one comic where everyone got temporarily turned into zombies

For the same reason people are glad that Superman is such a boy scout, people are glad that Plastic Man is such a goofball. Because of he wasn't, DC would be turbofucked.

Batman’s only plans for him if he goes bad are just freezing him, chopping him up and keeping the pieces apart or keeping him so hot he’s constantly melting.

I feel.plastic man from DC would be a better option. MF is overpowered but relegated to a side character.
