Rudd Estate founded by Leslie Rudd, stands out as an exceptional place with unmatched terroir, uniquely situated in Napa Valley with a geologic backbone of volcanic rock and alluvial sediments creating iron-rich, well-drained soil, ideal for growing Cabernet grapes. The vineyards are farmed organically and biodynamically by their own full-time team. Having their own team enables some of the most significant winemaking actions of the year to be made in a focused, adaptive, and timely manner. The winery itself is state-of-the-art and boasts of 20,000 square feet of subterranean wine caves where the wines age and refine in barrel.  This Estate Red is 93% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Malbec and 3% Cabernet Franc aged in 45% new and 55% once-used French oak barrels.
