Hyperrealistic glass sculpture is modeled after a filled water balloon. Individually hand-sculpted in molten glass to create the tension, volume, and illusion of internal water pressure. Knot and tassel are formed while the glass is still hot, requiring precise timing and control. Each piece is annealed in a kiln, then ground, pre-polished, sandblasted, and acid-etched for its final finish. Subtle distortions are intentionally introduced to enhance the lifelike effect.
