Using the Nerikomi technique a traditional Japanese ceramic handbuilding method Saori embeds the familiar ruled lines of notebook paper into the porcelain itself. She then folds the thinly sliced porcelain sheets as if working with actual paper, and assembles them by hand. Available in two classic styles, each piece celebrates the connections and memories that stay with us long after the school bell rings. Choose from a Paper Plane featuring the handwritten word "Yes, " or a classic Fortune Teller with handwritten numbers. Trompe l'oeil design meticulously recreates the look of notebook paper; the Paper Plane even captures the ragged edge left behind by spiral binding.
