The pre-seasoned Bread Steel is crafted from solid steel, and provides a durable baking surface that efficiently retains heat for incredible breads with great spring. Lightweight and easy to use, the Baking Shell creates the same results as a traditional, pre-heated, heavy cast iron vessel without all the hassle. Bread steel is pre-seasoned with flaxseed oil. Regular cleaning isn't necessary (just wipe off after use), but when you do clean, rinse and dry thoroughly to prevent rust. May need re-seasoning with flaxseed oil at 500°F for one hour after repeated cleaning. Made in China.
