Global Spice Tasting Class

Maybe you’re a longtime lover of global cuisine and the flavors that bring them to life. Or you’re intrigued and just a little intimidated by all the extraordinary spices that you’ve never tried. Whatever your experience level on the seasonings scale, this live virtual class with spice expert Sanjay Aggarwal will take you on a fresh, flavorful journey around the world. Sanjay sometimes joined by special guest Shashi Aggarwal, Sanjay’s mom and business cofounder will start the class by introducing you to the amazing spice blends in their Global Explorer Gift Set (See “Comes with the class, ” below). Prepare the spices by lightly cooking them in oil and then incorporating them into a savory tomato-chickpea sauce that will be the tasting base for each blend. This interactive approach will fully immerse you in the spices’ distinctive aromas and flavors. Explore ways to add depth of flavor, complexity, and balance to a wide range of dishes, from simple weeknight meals to elaborate culinary creations with global flair. Leave class with newfound confidence and inspiration to experiment with spices in your cooking every day. Class length: 60 minutes. Comes with the class: Created by Shashi and Sanjay Aggarwal, the Global Explorer Spice Tin Gift Set includes nine small-batch blends and rubs. You’ll explore six of them together in class, including Garam Masala, Tex-Mex, and North African Ras El Hanout (click the link to see the complete list). The set also comes with a recipe booklet and stainless steel scoop and is beautifully packaged in a silk sari wrapper. Giving this experience as a gift?
