The Silver Spring Universal Electric Power Chair and Scooter Lift and Carrier is designed for use with all types of power chair and scooter wheelbases measuring up to 42" long x 27" wide and weighing up to 350 lbs. Installation is a breeze and requires no drilling or modifications to your vehicle. Featuring a folding design, this lift easily stows vertically after use, saving space while improving visibility. The Silver Spring power chair lift and carrier is compatible with any vehicle equipped with a Class II, III, or IV hitch. Please note, hitch-mounted mobility carriers are not recommended for use on tow-behind trailers, including 5th wheel and camping trailers, motor-homes, or RVs. Never exceed the maximum tongue rating of your trailer hitch, and be aware that your hauling weight may be limited by your vehicle's suspension. Some vehicles may require air shocks or heavier springs to stiffen up the suspension and prevent sagging. Carriers are not recommended for hitches less than 12" from the ground to the bottom of the hitch without the use of a riser adapter.
