The perfume was inspired by the Spanish island of Formentera but includes ingredients from around the world, specifically Sicilian mandarin, Brazilian tonka bean and Calabrian lemon. Other notes include hedione, jasmine and guaiac wood. The infusion of vanilla provides an additional touch of sweetness.
This is one of more than 40 fragrances produced by Maison Francis Kurkdjian. While the company has only been around for few years, its nose, Francis Kurkdjian, has been developing perfumes for decades. After graduating from the famed Paris fragrance school Isipca, Kurkdjian went on to create scents for some of the biggest names in the industry including Elizabeth Arden, Giorgio Armani and Lancôme. He has also worked on various art installations, creating a scented fan and producing the smell of a dollar bill. He founded his company alongside Marc Chaya in 2009.
