Vivian Davisa year agoHad a different item shipped back in a return than was supposed to be returned. Anyone ever dealt with this? To make a long story short, sold a relatively expensive item to a buyer. They had it for a bit, said it arrived damaged, and wanted to return it. Oh well, I lost out on about a day of sales, not the end of the world but it does suck. I get the return back today. For the sake of privacy I'm not going to disclose the actual item that was supposed to be shipped, but instead of the item I was supposed to get back, I get back a stereo. Functionally I was sent back a box of rocks. Has anyone ever dealt with anything like this before? Going to be opening police reports and such, as I was instructed to do after Googling. Just curious what others have done in this situation. Update: The buyer apologized and closed the return after I brought up the situation (specifically that I was going to notify police/etc. if the item was not shipped by accident). I still have somewhat of a sense that I was potentially scammed (their messages seemed very off, is the long and short of it), but outside of building documents I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and not stress about it. 01410
