Keith Jones2 years agoWhen Will the "Buy it and Just Return it if You Don't Like It" policy become old and outdated? - I am looking into starting an online selling situation but a thought has occurred to me more than once in life now. I actually found myself last night while in bed looking at some slippers and some water shoes... They had nice photos and cost a little more than they look like they should(even when on sale, it was also one of those gimmicks of posting a high price and crossing it out like they are giving you a good deal with a lower price.) So the return policy states they'll give you a free shipping label if you want to return them. The question here for this post is how long will that trend last or is it already on its way out? It doesn't take average shoppers too long these days to catch on to these sly tactics. It got overdone and abused. The math doesn't add up.... If you are giving everybody free shipping labels that wants to return them then you ought to be giving people the slippers for a lower cost(like I said above they look like the price is still high even on sale.) So like I said, I'm trying to see about selling my own stuff online and it's important for me to stay in front of the trend, not behind it. I'm even thinking of having a very very basic website intentionally( I have recently seen other websites that are basic and legitimate/real and to the point and I love them) Thanks... UPDATE: you guys are doing good at useful responses... Please keep it up.. thanks17
