Trevelyan Gaylaa month agoI wrote a love letter confessing my feelings to a friend I liked in high school when I was 15 years old. I even sprayed perfume on it. We dated for about a week after that, but he dumped me when he turned 18. Despite that, we still stayed friends. Now, fast forward 15 years, I’m going through a divorce (been with my husband since I was 18, now 30), and I reached out to my old friend to vent about everything. We’re still friends to this day, and I needed to talk to him in person. During our conversation, he told me that he still has the love letter I gave him all those years ago. He said it’s still in his drawer. He also shared that one of his biggest regrets in life was dumping me. I honestly felt like I was in a movie. Why would he keep the letter for all these years? I have no idea. I’m just really surprised by it. I didn’t probe further and just said, “That’s cute, we were so young.” But now, I can’t stop thinking about it. This happened today, and I just had to share it here on Reddit.134
