Allegra Brodiea month agoMy best friend and I (both women) have been friends for many years, and we’ve grown increasingly close. Last night, we had a sleepover, and things got a little blurry in terms of what happened between us. We’ve always been very affectionate in an innocent way, like cuddling and holding hands while we sleep, but last night was different. At one point, I woke up and we were face to face, with both of our arms around each other's waist. She was closer to my face than usual, but I assumed she was just sleeping since her eyes were closed whenever I opened mine. At some point, she moved and bumped my head with hers, whispering an apology. We stayed like that for a while, but eventually, she shifted again, and her lips brushed against mine — though there wasn’t any kissing motion. I was confused but couldn’t help myself, so I briefly pressed my lips to hers for a second, before we just stayed still for a while longer. Eventually, she turned to lie on her back but grabbed my hand. I’ve had feelings for her for a long time, but now I’m wondering what this all means. Did something happen between us, or am I overthinking? How do I navigate this, and where do I go from here?133
