Goichot Freres 2022 Meursault Premier Cru "La Piece Sous le Bois"

South of Beaune, between Volnay and Puligny-Montrachet, the Meursault vineyard opens a golden door, that of “La Côte des Blancs”. On this exceptional terroir, Meursault wines magnify the expression of Chardonnay. This appellation includes 19 Climats classified as Premier Cru. The Chardonnay grapes are pressed directly after harvest, then alcoholic and malolactic fermentations take place 100% in oak barrels. Aging lasts approximately 12 months before bottling. The wine presents itself with a gold-green color, slightly accentuated depending on the age. Clear and brilliant; it is often accompanied by silvery reflections. Its bouquet evokes ripe grapes. On the palate, it is a rich and fatty wine with a delicious and joyful hazelnut flavor. The balance between creaminess and freshness reflects all the registers of silk.
