Domaine Marc-Antonin Blain 2022 Batard-Montrachet Grand Cru

Marc-Antonin is from a family of renowned Burgundy vintners. He now makes wines from vineyards previously tended by his late grandfather, Jacques Gagnard-Delagrange. and his parents Domaine is Blain-Gagnard. He is one of the most modest, but also talented, members of the emerging generation of Burgundy growers. Batard-Montrachet is one of the four great Grand Cru Chardonnay vineyards in the appellation of Puligny-Montrachet, in Burgundy. At 30 acres, Batard-Montrachet is the largest of four Grand Crus and is divided into nearly 30 individually owned parcels. Burghound scored this 94 points saying, "There is only a mild whiff of exotic character present on the aromas of white peach, pear, apple and a hint of lychee character.
